COVID RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR ATTENDING POLO

Revised 1/12/21

We continue to revise our COVID GUIDELINES to allow you to play and watch polo in a safe and relaxed manner. Please check to see that you are referring to the most recent revision date.

Our Current Plan, adapted from THE POLO FOUNDATION only allows for players, family or their guests, grooms and other essential workers to attend. POLO EVENTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ARE NOT RECOMMENDED AT THIS TIME.

ALL ATTENDEES will be required to complete a COVID WAIVER in advance of game day and will be required to complete a COVID QUESTIONNAIRE and TEMPERATURE CHECK on the day of the event.

Everyone will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distance. Players must have a mask in their possession while riding.

ONLY MEMBERS CAN INVITE GUESTS. The member will be responsible for their guest’s compliance at all times. A COVID WAIVER must be completed when attending the first game or whenever the content of the Waiver changes. GUESTS must complete the COVID QUESTIONNAIRE at the sign in tent each visit. The main gate will not be left open on game day and players must make arrangements for their guest to gain access.

VISITING PLAYERS must meet all current Covid protocols, guidelines, quarantine and testing if applicable, and be cleared prior to game day

WHEN ARRIVING AT THE POLO FIELD YOU WILL SEE SIGNS THAT SAY:

POLO PLAYERS – GROOMS - FAMILY AND GUESTS

SIGN IN AT TENT

THIS SHOULD BE THE VERY FIRST THING YOU DO AFTER PARKING

The tent area is a " Mask Required Space" If you've forgotten a mask, wait for the tent to be vacant, on the table you will find masks and gloves, hand sanitizer; no contact thermometer; Covid Questionnaires in a Notebook; A notebook with Waivers ; As well as clean pens.

Bringing your own mask, pen, and thermometer is recommended but not necessary.

Each Player, Groom, Family Member and Guest are asked to complete the Covid Questionnaire each time you come to Polo. There are only a few Yes or No questions to answer as well as your name, date and temperature. IF YOU RESPOND YES TO QUESTIONS 1 – 4 OR NO TO QUESTIONS 6 -8 please contact Frank, Tiffany or Gaston immediately.

WHILE AT POLO EACH PERSON ATTENDING MUST HAVE A MASK WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES - " NOT IN THE TRUCK, TRAILER, OR CAR BUT ACTUALLY IN THEIR POSSESSION AT ALL TIMES. A typical example on the field might be: Player A is out Stick and Balling and has a horse problem or tack issue. Player B comes over to assist, there is no going back to get a mask - the mask of each player goes on before engaging - the Players remain Safe and Healthy and the Parents and Polo Manager stay relaxed.

OFF THE FIELD THE RULES REMAIN THE SAME. There is never a time when you don't have a mask in your possession.

PLAYERS AND THEIR GROOMS ARE CONSIDERED FAMILY AND MAY CHOOSE NOT TO WHERE MASKS WHEN THEY ARE ALONE. They still must have masks in their possession and put them on when visited by those admiring their horses or just socializing with members etc...

A single Family watching together should abide by their family rules but mixed families, grooms from different barns, players, or friends are expected to abide by best practices.

Obviously, this is a work in progress that will require feedback from you all. Please share your thoughts and concerns so that all of us can enjoy this great sport.

THANKS
