Who We Are

Here at The Vero Beach Polo Club, our mission is to provide the opportunity for young and old alike to try, learn, play or watch one of the most beautiful games on earth in an atmosphere that allows each participant to develop their skills, knowledge and enjoyment of the game. We intend to grow the popularity of the sport in our community, along with our club, while providing the highest standard of spectator experience.

We are pleased to have professional polo announcers Dawn and James Redman describing in detail a game that's played at 30mph. Together they have a unique ability to do it in a manner that allows the audience to understand the rules.  This makes coming to a Vero Beach Polo Club match the easiest way to learn the sport!

Dawn Garvey Redman and James Redman , the VBPC Announcers.

An equestrian since the age of 4, Dawn has participated in 3 day eventing and polo meetings practically all her life. Polo is what brought Dawn to Vero Beach and where she met her husband. Prior to being with the Vero Beach Polo Club Dawn was with the Windsor Polo and Equestrian Center. She also commentated at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Boca Raton, Chicago, Jamaica and more. Over 30 years of announcing polo in Vero Beach - that is close to 500 matches in Vero alone! -gives Dawn a great insight into what makes Vero Beach Polo so attractive and has led to many great friendships in the community.
Educated in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Dawn travelled extensively before settling in Florida.
You will also hear Dawn’s husband James during our matches. Besides providing color commentary at polo James, along with his father, motor racing legend Brian Redman, organizes several motorsports events each year attracting drivers from all around the world.
